Foodland Markets will host a grand opening and Cinco de Mayo celebration this Saturday at its newly opened Waxahachie location.
The grocery store, which is located at 610 Ferris Avenue and replaced Fiesta in late April, also has locations in Dallas, Fort Worth and Forest Hill.
The Saturday celebration is scheduled from 2—6 p.m. Saturday, May 5 and includes a live mariachi band (2-3 p.m.), a colorful folkloric dance performance (2:30-3:30 p.m.), product demos, samples, crafts, kids activities, a clown show, and more. There will also be prizes given away every hour, with the grand prize of a gas grill, full propane tank and $50 Foodland Markets gift certificate awarded at the end of the event.
The store also plans to offer several special savings deals inside the store.
