To the Editor,

There is nothing more important in a local community, the state, or the nation than educating our youth. The driving force behind a good school system begins with quality leadership that really CARES about our students receiving the best education possible. This leadership begins with caring members that are elected to the school board.

A leader is one who sees more than others see, who sees farther than others see, and who sees before others see. Kim Kriegel is a proven leader that possesses the qualities that are needed to serve on the WISD Board of Trustees. There is nothing in life that teaches more than experience does. Kim taught 31 years and after retirement served on the WISD Board for one term. She has concerns about the school budget and tax appropriations and how these things affect our students, teachers, and the community as a whole; but above money matters, she is the most CARING person for our students of anyone that I have ever worked with. She is passionate about every student being successful with their education and graduating with a high school diploma.

In the 48 years that I worked for the Waxa ISD, both full and part-time, there has never been a more critical time to have conservative people on our board who stand for integrity and honesty. Anyone elected to a school board should stand up and vote for what is best for WISD as a whole—that includes our students, staff, and the tax payers. Any recommendation made by a board member or administrative staff, regardless of the issue, should represent the wishes and expectations of the community who elected them to their positions. I believe Kim will always stand for what is best for our district and community.

Please join Brenda and me in voting for KIM KRIEGEL for the WISD school board on May 5---or in early voting from April 23-May 1.
