The Mansfield Lake Ridge Lady Eagles spoiled the farewell to Lady Indian Ballpark on Friday night.
Lake Ridge scored four runs in the second inning and five more in the sixth for the 12-6 win. The Lady Indians were outhit 16-6 in the process.
Waxahachie took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Talia Salinas launched a three-run home run to left-center field. The long ball was her fifth of the season.
Salinas then slugged her sixth and seventh home runs of the year in the third and fifth innings. She ends the regular season with 18 RBIs and a .452 batting average.
Inside the circle, Salinas tossed all seven innings, allowing 12 runs (nine earned) on 16 hits. She struck out four and walked one.
Sharrika Levingston, Ariana Robles and Hannah Rash also recorded hits for the Lady Indians.
The Lady Indians move into postseason play after finishing the regular season 18-7-1 and 11-3 in District 10-5A. Lake Ridge, with the win, tied Waxahachie for the second spot in the district standings.
