Two suspects remain at-large after they attempted to rob a Wells Fargo Bank customer at one of the ATMs located on the backside of the property March 29.
Officers responded at 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 77 in Waxahachie.
Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff stated the victim reported a man holding a gun approached her and began banging on her car’s window. She then quickly put the car in drive and fled the area.
“She described the individual as a Black male wearing a yellow shirt. Having heard a noise as she drove off, she initially believed the suspect had thrown something at her car,” Woodruff said. “She drove to a restaurant parking lot in the 500 block of North Highway 77 where she met with officers.”
Woodruff stated officers found damage on the trunk lid of the victim’s vehicle. They were able to determine that a shot was fired at the vehicle.
Further review of the bank surveillance showed two suspects approached the car. The suspect in the yellow shirt appears to have a white shirt or towel around his face.
