Jackie Elizabeth Cook was born July 23rd, 1952 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Elizabeth (Sawyer) and B.J. Coode.

Jackie attended the South Oak Cliff school system. While in middle school, she earned a spot on the cheerleading squad at Boude Storey and went on to attend South Oak Cliff High School until 1969. After high school, Jackie attended a local college for beauty school and received her cosmetology license shortly after. This led to her own business and the building of a legacy that would go on for more than 30 years.

Jackie’s favorite hobbies included shopping, crafts, great music, and being a part of her clients and residents’ lives. Most of all, she enjoyed family events and the gathering of loved ones. The more the merrier in her eyes.

Jackie Elizabeth Cook departed this life March 19th, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father BJ Coode, her mother Elizabeth Dorrough, and her sister Terry Harmon.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Husband: Gary Cook; Children: Jill Montgomery, Bo White and spouse Kristy White; Grandchildren: Bailey Bass, Addison Montgomery, Jaxon White, Lauren White, Luke White, and Dalton Landry; Nephew: Brian Harmon; and many friends and loved ones.
