SAN ANTONIO

Waxahachie FFA students recently represented Waxahachie ISD while attending the Southwest Type Conference from March 1-3 in San Antonio.

The Southwest Type Conference is a new experience for Waxahachie FFA, but that did not stop the students from excelling. Eight students exhibited gilts in Belton. All of these students competed in classes of 45 pigs or more. Waxahachie FFA had eight students showing and all of them received places in the top 10.

The Waxahachie FFA Show team competes at the Ellis County Youth Expo next March 26th-31st. WISD proudly supports these students, teachers and organizations.

The Waxahachie FFA serves students enrolled in CTE courses aligned with the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster. Participants enjoy the experience of applying classroom and laboratory lessons in hand on activities or competitive events
