Services for Michael Hayes Hammonds, 30, of Lewisville, will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Wickham officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Michael passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at his home. He was born January 20, 1988, in Marshall to Michael Robert Hammonds and Karen (Hammonds) French.
He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and The Arts Institute of Dallas. He held the position of Executive Sous Chef with Union Bear Brewing Company.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Truitt W. Hammonds and his maternal grandmother, Judy G. Sanders. He is survived by his loving family including his mother, Karen French and her husband, Steven French; his father, Michael R. Hammonds and his wife, Lisa Hammonds; his sister, Bridgette Hammonds, and niece, Ava May Cates; sisters Ashley Morris and family; and Lacy Gnat and family; paternal grandmother, Sandi Williams; maternal grandfather, Brian Sanders; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Cope, Benjamin Cope, Jeff McGlothlin, Aaron Cates, Justin Winchester, and Jacob Winchester. Honorary pallbearers will be Riley McDaniel, Garrett Watts, Emily Crouch and Mark Scasta.
Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
