To the Editor,

I am pleased to write this letter to recommend Stacey Auvenshine for the position of 378th District Court in Ellis County. This is the family law court and there is no other candidate more qualified for the specific needs of this court than Stacey Auvenshine.

In this court specialized cases involving child custody, adoption and other suits affection parent child relationships are heard. Stacey has dedicated her law practice to nothing other than issues involving children for the past 12 years. She is the only candidate in this race that has been certified by the National Counsel for Children as a Child Welfare Law Specialist, only 1 of 40 Texas attorneys.

I have had the privilege to work with Stacey for the past 6 years as she has devoted her practice to protecting abused and neglected children in Ellis County. During this time I have come to know Stacey and her family personally as I have observed their tireless community work with civic organizations and the faith based community. I have volunteered alongside Stacey as she has served other s through various outreaches, including Waxahachie Bible Church, Love in Action Giveaway and First United Methodist Worship Outside the Walls.

Stacey is a devoted mother to her 4 children; it was one of her oldest children that sparked Stacey’s intensive commitment to the need for attorneys dedicated solely to children and families as they walked the journey of adoption. Her calm, thoughtful demeanor, integrity and sincere concern for the best interest of children coupled with her outstanding knowledge of family law make for the perfect fit for the Family Court Judge.

It is without hesitation that my family chooses to vote for Stacey Auvenshine and ask that your family do the same.

Katherine and Gus Jones, Ennis
