There are three finalists for the City of Glenn Heights City Manager position. In total, the City received 19 applications, narrowing down its final round of interviews to three candidates.
The finalists are:
Mike Arismendez Jr. - Arismendez Jr. is a public administrator with 15 years of municipal government experience. He served as the City Manager for the City of Littlefield, Texas. He also has experience serving as Legislative Director for State Representative Carl H. Isett Texas House of Representative and he was the Mayor of Shallowater, Texas.
David Hall – Hall is a Deputy City Manager with 18 years of municipal government experience. He serves as the Deputy City Manager in the City of Glenn Heights, Texas. He also has experience serving as the Assistant Director of Planning and Development in Fort Worth, Texas and he was the Director of Community Development in Lancaster, Texas.
Richard Rose – Rose is a City Manager with more than 25 years of municipal government experience. He served as the City Manager for Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; Diamondhead, Mississippi; and the City of D’Iberville, Mississippi. He also has experience serving as a Councilman for the City of Gulfport, Mississippi and the Harrison County School District “Project Alert” Coordinator.
Finalists were ranked and selected by council based on their qualifications, likely fit for the community and organization, and a compelling reason to be in Glenn Heights.
On Friday, as part of the final round of interviews, City Manager candidates will be invited on a tour of Glenn Heights followed by a panel interview held by the City of Glenn Heights Governing Body.
On Saturday, at least one candidates was invited back for another brief interview, and council may select a City Manager.
On Aug. 22 2017, City Council directed City of Glenn Heights Interim City Manager, Alan E. Sims to contract with Chris Hartung Consulting LLC to recruit and vet qualified candidates for the City Manager position.
Chris Hartung is the owner and President of Chris Hartung LLC. Chris has over 20 years of Public Sector Consulting experience in the areas of executive search, compensation, classification and other management consulting projects.
