Enjoy an evening of big band music, dance and a delicious meal to support the Spirit of Waxahachie Band. The annual Jazz Café is on Feb. 3 at the Civic Center from 6:30 p.m. — 10:30 p.m.

The formal dinner will include entertainment from the high school band. Three WHS alumni will accompany the band including Keith Davis on saxophone, James Davis on trumpet and McKayla Davis on vocals.

My Sister’s Affair will cater dinner with a rib eye roast or grilled chicken as the main course. A silent auction will start at the beginning of the night, and all proceeds will benefit band students in sixth to 12th grade.

Waxahachie High School band director, Richard Armstrong, said, “The Jazz Café is an elegant way to provide an event of its caliber to Waxahachie, but at the same time help raise funds for the band.”

Auction item tickets: Fort Worth Championship Rodeo, Dallas Mavericks game, Byron Nelson Golf Championship, Ft. Worth Museum of Science, Medieval Times, Disney Land, Texas Motor Speedway and much more.

Jazz Café tickets cost $50 per ticket and $360 for a table of eight. Tickets can be purchased at the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce, Waxahachie Daily Light or Waxahachie High School, also online at www.spiritofwaxahachie.com. The deadline for ticket sales is Jan. 26.
