To the Editor,
As 2017 comes to an end, I would like to thank everyone that helped make the Museum and its fundraiser events a success. We started with Champagne & Chocolates in January, Dessert Love in February, Wine Tasting Party at the Museum in March, Dinner in the Garden in May, Gingerbread Trail in June, Pizza Party in September, Crooked Creek Farms Steak Dinner in October and The Black and White Party that took place in December. All in all, it was a great year for the Ellis County Museum. Special thanks to Heidi and Matt Perkins, Carol Brewer, Arlene & John Hamilton, Ginger and George Cole, Linda & James Henry and Deb and Jordan Rupp. They offered up themselves and their homes for these parties. We had such fun and acquired some new members along the way!
We have big plans in 2018 that will include a beer tasting party, Porch Ladies Progressive Dinner, Crooked Creek Farms Crawfish Boil, Art and Wine Sunday, and Music and BBQ. These events along with Gingerbread Trail and the renewed Gay 90’s Ball, that celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Ellis County Museum, promises to be a busy year.
We’ll announce the dates of our new schedule in January but if you want the information quickly, become a member of the Museum. You can be a part of this membership for as little as $15 annually. We guarantee you’ll be glad you joined.
