WAXAHACHIE — Tis the season to start holiday shopping and the perfect place to start is Harvest and Holly Days Market, Funday School Mother’s Day Out annual fundraiser.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harvest and Holly offers fun and entertainment for the entire family. From shopping and food to kids’ activities and photos with Santa, there is something for everyone.

“Come see us this Saturday. Kids can enjoy face painting, train rides, bounce houses, and many more games with the opportunity to win prizes while parents shop for that perfect gift,” commented Krista Bartos, Funday School director. “Pokey O’s Ice Cream Sandwiches will also be on site this year!”

With over 40 merchants, Harvest and Holly offers a unique holiday shopping experience with items and gifts for every age. Vendors include Three Bears Boutique, B’Hive Boutique, Multitudes, CM Dezigns and much more.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items. Items include class projects, donations from local and area merchants, and baskets donated by Funday School parents.

“This is our largest fundraiser throughout the year. Our goal is to raise enough money to keep tuition cost down, provide scholarships and to purchase manipulatives for every classroom which allow more opportunities for learning and enhanced kindergarten preparation,” said Bartos.

The event wouldn’t be possible without the support of local businesses, parents and community members. Sponsors this year include Ameriturf, Bell-Scott Insurance, Bill and Deb Bunting, Citizens National Bank of Texas, Heart Place, Hi-View Real Estate, Roofing & Restoration Services of America, Whitaker Metal Deck Sales, Inc., Dr. Alex Robinson, Legacy Grove, McClain – Lewis Real Estate Team, Dr. Stephanie Singleton, Town Square Title, Max Felt, and Stiller Roofing.

Kids’ activity wristbands can be purchased in advance from the school for $15 or at the door for $20. Wristbands are good for the entire day.
