RIO VISTA — Win No. 20 came in four-set fashion for the Maypeal Lady Panthers when they knocked Rio Vista on its home court Tuesday.

Behind 14 kills by Madison Ball and Peyton Pogue, Maypearl won 25-21, 23-25, 25-10, 25-20 and improved to 6-0 in District 17-3A. The Lady Panthers are tied atop the standings with (20-5, 6-0) Grandview, who they play Friday at home.

The first serve is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

In addition to Ball and Progue, Marissa Stottlemire added nine kills, Katie Gann had six and Carson Austin five.

Maypearl also fired home 10 aces as a team, with Progue leading the way with six. Steelie Ledbetter added four, while Gann and Kellie Blake each had three and Stottlemire and Ball had two.

Ball led the team with 21 digs and Ledbetter added 21. Gann and Blake accounted for 21 and 20 assists, respectively.
