ITALY — Behind its ball-control offense, Hico proved just too much for the Italy to handle Friday night at Gladiator Stadium.

Italy (2-2) mustered just 121 yards of offense in the 35-6 loss to rival (3-1) Hico.

"The only thing we know to do is go back to work. We are going to put our hard hats on, bring our lunch pales and go back to work," said Italy head football coach David Weaver on the field after the game. "We are healthy for the first time with all of our participants walking off of the field and ready to go next week which is not something we were able to say after the previous games. We just have to go back to work."

Italy Quarterback Tylan Wallace completed 3-of-his-9 passes for 42 yards, while Kendrick Norwood carried the football 25 times for 68 yards. Al Waits led all receivers with two receptions for 34 yards.

Italy returns to the field Friday, Sept. 29 on the road against Gateway Charter Academy. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
