WAXAHACHIE — Screams has transformed itself for its 22nd season to provide the most terrifying haunted house experience ever.
The park opens Friday, Sept. 29 and the frights have been greatly intensified in each of the five haunted houses and practically everywhere else you turn throughout the 15-acre Halloween Theme Park.
There is a new level of terror for 2017.
As part of this transformation, Screams is recommending that visitors not bring children, as Screams is designed to entertain adults and teenagers 16-plus.
“We are very excited to be taking the fright level of Screams up significantly for the 2017 season,” said Coy Sevier, Screams General Manager, “to provide every one of our visitors with the most frightening Halloween experience anywhere in North Texas.”
Screams® Halloween Theme Park, presented by MetroPCS, is 5 Haunted Houses and a Whole Lot More that runs every Friday and Saturday night September 29 through October 28, 2017. Screams® single admission price is $30 at the gate and includes all five haunted houses, live entertainment, and Scary-Oke. Plus visitors may go through the haunted houses as many times as they like (as the crowds will allow). To avoid the long waits, they can purchase a Fast Pass for $15 in advance or during their visit.
Additionally, Screams offers a whole lot more such as live entertainment, Scary-Oke, Tarot Card & Palm Readers, games of skill, and scores of professional actors roaming throughout the event. There is also food and drink at the food court and the full-service restaurant along with adult beverages at the pubs for those 21 and older. Screams® shops will feature wares like jewelry, glo products, feather extensions, Henna Tattoos and Wax Hands. There is also a mask and souvenir shop and much more including the MetroPCS photo booth and charging station.
The entertainment line-up for Screams 2017 will include Screams radio partners taking over the Screams stage bringing their own brand of entertainment with the KSCS Scary-Oke Battle on Oct. 6, Hot 93.3 Dark Maze Challenge on Oct. 7, Jack-FM Dance Contest on Oc.t 14, AMP 103.7 Egg Toss Challenge on Oct. 21 and Hot 93.3’s Glow Party on Oct. 28. Complete DJ will then take the stage to spin music and create a festive atmosphere for the rest of the season.
