Charlie David “No Neck” Howard, 64, of Avalon passed away on August 24, 2017 at Charlton Methodist Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Monahans, Texas to Edgar Howard and the late Katie McIntosh.
David proudly served his country from 1970-1975 in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Baptist faith.
David and, his wife, Sherry had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Monday, August 21, 2017. They celebrated by renewing their vows on Sunday, August 20, 2017. He was Sherry’s best friend and she will miss him being right by her side.
David was a very caring and loving husband. He loved his children, riding motorcycles and helping others in and around the Ellis County community.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Katie.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry, one daughter Cheryl Howard and two grandchildren, Aurthor Bunton and Nicole Marie. He is also survived by his father, Edgar Howard of Waxahachie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3 P.M. at Creechville Baptist Church in Ennis and will be officiated by Zealot Glide.
