Wayne Duain Eads was born in Desdemona, Texas on August 28, 1922, to Earl and Odessa Shaw Eads, the second of four sons, and joined his Savior in Heaven on August 12, 2017.
Wayne proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps in World War II. He fought bravely as a member of Carlson's Raiders and was honorably discharged at the end of the War.
Wayne Eads was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers Ray and Zelvin, his son-in-law Kenneth Rowland, and his beautiful wife of 72 years, Grace. He is survived by his brother Sam Eads and his wife Margaret, daughters Connie Rowland, Barbara Puente and her husband Edward, Donna Eads Bartlett and her husband Phil, as well as four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Today he lives on in the arms of His Savior. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Family visitation is Friday, August 18 from 6-8pm at Midlothian Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Oak Crest Baptist Church on Saturday, August 19 at 2 pm. If desired, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Wounded Warrior Project.
