MIDLOTHIAN — Midlothian Police are searching for two suspects who ran a pickup truck into an AT&T store on Sunday.
Officers were dispatched to the business at 5:17 a.m. in the 100 block of Eric St.
Midlothian Police Capt. John Spann said, upon arrival, officers observed significant damage to the glass entrance of the store on the west side of the building.
“Officers were approached by three witnesses who were at a location a short distance from the scene, and they stated they heard the crash and went to see what caused it,” Spann said. “They stated that a red pickup truck had run into the building and they saw two individuals walking around in the store. The individuals then backed the truck out of the building and left the location prior to officer’s arrival.”
Spann said witnesses stated the vehicle headed north on Highway 67 towards Dallas. A short time later, the truck, a red 2009 Nissan Tundra, was located abandoned on the shoulder of Highway 67 in Cedar Hill. Further investigation showed the truck was stolen from a parking lot of a Midlothian business earlier that morning,
“The case is still under investigation, and it is unknown at this time what was taken from the store,” Spann noted. “Investigators are working with store management and reviewing videos.”
