WAXAHACHIE — The Central Texas Conference announced a change in pastoral leadership beginning July 1, as Rev. Bayard Pratt has been appointed to serve Ferris Heights United Methodist Church in Waxahachie.
Pratt previously served as associate pastor at Arborlawn United Methodist in Fort Worth. He completed his undergraduate work at Texas Christian University and received a Master's of Theology from Perkins School of Theology. He has served churches in Fort Worth, Georgetown, and Arlington. He was a founding board member of Tarrant County Habitat for Humanity and has served on various hospital boards for Texas Health Resources. His hobbies include reading, listening to jazz and playing golf.
Pratt and his wife, Louann Teel-Pratt, have been married for 37 years and have two adult children, Adam and Hannah. Louann is a Spanish immersion teacher in the HEB School District.
