SEARCY, Arkansas — More than 900 students received diplomas at Harding University's commencement exercises on May 6 and two Ellis County residents were among the graduates.

Daniel Gamboa, of Glenn Heights, received a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and Bethany Harris, of Forreston, received a Bachelor of Science in cognitive neuroscience and psychology. Harris also graduated magna cum laude.

Graduates included students from the College of Allied Health, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Bible and Ministry, Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration, Cannon-Clary College of Education, Carr College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of Sciences.

Harding University is a private Christian university located in Searcy, Arkansas. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, it is the largest private university in the state.
