Under the direction of Kasi Jones and musical direction led by Don Jones, the 35-member cast of local talent will bring the comedic revision of a classic fairy tale story, "Princess and the Pea," to life May 5-7.
The cast features Ashley Cieri as Queen Aggravain, Kevin Roberts as Prince Dauntless the Drab, Danielle Chambers as Princess Winnifred Woebegone, Amber Perez as Lady Larken, and Joshua Marek as Sir Harry. The cast also includes Mike Navarro as King Sextimus and Billy Pritchett as the Minstrel.
The show is also presented through special arrangements with R&H Theatricals.
Performances will be May 5-7 at the Chautauqua Auditorium in Getzendaner Park in Waxahachie, with three shows scheduled for Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 7 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for seniors or students and $15 for adults. The tickets can be purchased online beginning April 3 through the theatre website at www.waxahachiecommunitytheatre.com. A service charge will be added to the price of each ticket for online purchases. Preschool children are free with a paid adult admission.
Tickets will also be available beginning April 3 at the Chamber of Commerce and The Ellis County Museum in Waxahachie, as well as at the offices of Dr. Jerry Ellis, DDS, in Midlothian.
