MIDLOTHIAN — For the last 12 years, Navarro College has worked to deliver quality, affordable academic and technical associate degrees in Midlothian. The campus also has plans to host its third annual campus preview day Thursday, April 27 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

With the addition of two A&M System Universities to the Navarro Campus, Texas A&M-Commerce and Tarleton State University, bachelor’s and master’s degrees are also part of the campus.

According to Dr. Alex Kajstura, Midlothian Campus Dean, “We have a unique higher education campus here. Navarro delivers the dual credit classes for the Midlothian ISD and transfers the credits to Navarro College. At that point, student’s college work transfers into an associate degree and technical program, and the universities here accept Navarro’s credits, setting up a full educational circle, all right here in Midlothian. However, since the majority of our students choose to begin their college after high school graduation, our academic advisors make sure they select a degree plan that gets them started on the right track.”

The open house allows students and parents to visit with all aspects of the higher educational experience at Navarro College. Financial aid representatives, counselors, deans, academic advisors, and professors will all be available to answer any questions visitors may have.

In addition, campus tours, cookies, and punch will be available. Navarro College has been a part of the Texas 2-year college scene since 1946 and is a key provider of the total educational experience for Midlothian and surrounding area students. Navarro College is also celebrating its 70th year as a high-education institution.
