To the Editor,

I support Kim Kriegel and Clay Schoolfield for the WISD Board of Trustee.

Kim Kriegel has shown her support for students both in the educational system and outside of the classroom doors. I have observed Mrs. Kriegel throughout the years as she supported Pee Wee Basketball and WISD Girls’ Basketball. She also worked with a team of educators and business persons to organize Waxahachie’s initial Boys’ and Girls’ Club. She has spent many hours tutoring and cheering on students as they worked earnestly to pass state assessments. Not only is she an advocate for students, but she is also a supporter of educators. She has taught in the public school system and knows the day to day demands, concerns and joys of an educator. Her educational background is a true asset. She is a dedicated advocate for both students and teachers and is well equipped for a position on the Waxahachie ISD School Board of Trustees.

Clay Schoolfield is a “home grown” leader from Waxahachie. I observed these leadership skills while he was as an educator with WISD. As a teacher and coach, he worked closely with children, teachers, and parents. Parents and students both spoke highly of him. Outside of education he has had experience in farming and insurance which gives him a different perspective on every issue. Because Mr. Schoolfield’s background is in business and in education, he will provide WISD families with a well-rounded view on all issues.

Without reservation, I recommend Kim Kriegel and Clay Schoolfield for WISD School Board of Trustees.

Respectfully,

Mrs. Ruth Sutton
