Donna Faith Henegar Moon, 82, of Waxahachie, Texas passed away June 19, 2017, at home with her children by her side.

Arrangements are made by Waxahachie Funeral Home, and her Celebration of Life service will be at 6:30 PM, June 22 in their chapel, located at 1201 West Highway 287 Bypass, Waxahachie, Texas 75165, Reverend Gaylan Claunch officiating. Friends may visit from 4 – 6 and Family burial will be at the DFW National Cemetery.

Donna Moon was born in Ramona, Oklahoma on December 6, 1934, to Paul Arlis and Alto Jo (Street) Henegar. She was a musician, singer, songwriter, and counselor. These ministries of compassion called “Operation Cheer” have opened doors to her world-wide and included many years of ministry to the military, prisons, and Veteran’s Administration hospitals.

On January 7, 1950, she married Dr. Jesse K. Moon, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Daughter, Reverend Sheree Moon, serves in the Philippines as a missionary and has three foster daughters, Lita, Riza, and Gracie. Son, Reverend Glen Moon, serves as Communications Director for the North Texas Assemblies of God. God also blessed the Moons with children, Sem and Sony (deceased) Wai, and granddaughters Chancy, Elizabeth, and Rachel.

She is also survived by brothers Gerald Henegar of Alvarado and Rex Henegar of Irving, as well as sisters Geraldine Claunch and Joyce Pollock, both of Duncanville.
