WAXAHACHIE — From pony rides and petting zoos to bounce houses and food trucks, The Avenue Church held an impressive Easter egg hunt Friday, April 14.
Accommodating to all ages, the celebration consisted of a special needs egg hunt and an egg drop for about 2,000 children, holding a rough total 4,000 people.
What set this year apart was the Avenues’ newest partnership with a military skydiving team.
Surprising the crowd by parachuting from a helicopter, the Easter Bunny descended and took to the stage to initiate the egg hunt as kids watched in awe. Cheers and screams rippled throughout the audience as they rushed the field and filled their baskets with glee.
The Avenue’s Easter Egg Hunt was one for the books, making a memorable moment for countless families across Waxahachie.
