Juanita “Sylvia” Cisneros, 81, lost her battle to pancreatic cancer on February 8, 2017, at her home in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was a loving and faithful wife to Carlos Cisneros who preceded her in death after his own battle with cancer less than two years ago. One of her children, son Renee, also preceded her in death but she is survived by her daughters, Eunice, Leticia and Sylvia, her sons Eddie, Arthur, Sammy and Richard, son-in-law’s Gary and Owen, daughter-in-law’s Sylvia and Elizabeth, grandchildren Alejandra, Andrea, Donny, Eddie, Nancy, Samantha, Christina, Arturo, Jason, Danny, Robert, Roger, Eustacio, Mark, Prescilla, Emily, Mikael, Erica, Eric, Gabriela, Jaden and Andre, 34 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, her sister Alice Torres and many other extended family members.

Sylvia was born on January 25, 1936, to Jose and Delores Davila in San Antonio, Texas. Sylvia had an unwavering faith in the Lord and found peace in praying for others. She loved her family, holidays, get-togethers and any chance to spend time with them was important to her. She especially enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table with loved ones laughing and telling stories while making holiday tamales together. She also loved watching her novellas with her dogs by her side. She made any room come alive with her joyfully loud presence, beautiful smile, and resonating laugh. She will be deeply missed by her family who knew her as Juanita, Sylvia, Mother, Mom, Sister, Grandma, Granny, Grand Grand and Grandma Carlos.
