WAXAHACHIE — Fewer than five percent of body shops across the nation are able to meet the stringent requirements to become officially certified and recognized by Assured Performance Collision Care. It just so happens Ellis County Auto Repair can now, officially, announce its inclusion on the exclusive list.
According to CollisonCare.org, Assured Performance Collision Care is a non-profit consumer advocacy organization that ensures auto repair shops maintain the correct tools, equipment, training and facilities necessary to repair the participating Automaker brand vehicles per the manufacturer's specifications.
In the official announcement, the organization stated, "in achieving their certification, Ellis County Auto Repair is now an integral part of the most advanced repair capable and efficient auto body repair network in the world." Assured Performance, FCA, General Motors, Nissan, and Hyundai also now certify the longtime Waxahachie staple for auto repair.
"Consumers need the confidence and peace of mind to know their vehicle is repaired by a shop that has what it takes to ensure the vehicle safety," said Scott Biggs, CEO of Assured Performance Collision Care, in the announcement. "Ellis County Auto Repair is officially a Collision Care Provider. They represent the standard by which all other body shops are measured."
The press release states that, in order to become certified, Ellis County Auto, which is owned and operated by Craig and Rhonda Anderson, had to pass a "rigorous" certification process that helps to ensure "proper and safe repair of the new generation of advanced vehicles."
"Less than five percent of body shops across the nation are able to meet the stringent requirements to become officially certified and recognized," the announcement adds. "The certified network is made up exclusively of best-in-class collision repair businesses that have met or exceeded the stringent requirements of the certification program.
"[...] The certification criteria are based upon auto manufacturer requirements. These are critical to ensuring the vehicle fit, finish, durability, value, and safety following an accident. As new model vehicles are being introduced that use lightweight high-strength materials and advanced technology, a proper repair according to the manufacturer's specification is even more important than ever to ensure the passenger safety and proper performance of the vehicle."
Rhonda Anderson said the shop is proud to receive the certification and excited to continue serving the community.
"With the complexity of today's vehicles, it is critical to select the right repairer," she said in the release. "We are proud to receive this official certification and these automaker recognitions, illustrating our investment and commitment to our customers."
