Edward Trost, age 66, of Waxahachie, passed away January 2, 2016, at VA Hospital in Dallas. He was born January 16, 1950, in Kankakee, Illinois to Harold and Antoinette (Amiot) Trost. Edward proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was a longtime truck driver, who preferred Peterbilt trucks. He loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, and camping and hanging with his grandchildren, his dog, Harley and cat, Scardy Cat. Edward will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Trost, they had been together since 1991; one son, Shane Trost; six daughters, Shannon Belle and husband Jimerney; Shelli Ritzma, Shawna Quick and husband Jake, Heather Schunke and husband Josh, Linsey Shockley and husband Clint and Miranda King; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cecilia Williams, Rose Mary Spies and Joann Duncan and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Trost.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, January 7, 2017, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Father Dennis Spies officiating.
Interment with military honors will be 10:15 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
