The Rehabilitation Center announced the selection of Norma Antedomenico as the new executive director and Shawn Blankenship as assistant director last week.

The statement making the announcement said Antedomenico is a physical therapist with many years of experience working with children and adults. She specializes in orthopedic conditions, manual therapy for sacroiliac joints and exercise prescriptions for musculoskeletal and postsurgical conditions. She has served as a director and physical therapist in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

The statement said Antedomenico desires TRC to be used to its maximum potential for the community and to create and expand its programs to become a premiere facility for comprehensive rehabilitation.

Blankenship, the statement said, is a licensed physical therapist assistant and has been a part of TRC for over five years. Blankenship has experience working with both children and adults and earned a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He is a graduate of the Murray State College PTA program. A lifetime Texoman, Blakenship grew up in Calera, Oklahoma, and now resides in Bells with his wife and two daughters.

TRC expressed thanks to board member Shea Seastrunk for stepping in as interim director and guiding the staff through its time of growth.

“Her selfless and proactive leadership was crucial during this time of change,” the statement said.

The Rehabilitation Center Therapeutic Solutions for Children and Adults is a nonprofit community clinic that has served the Texoma community for almost 70 years.
