1. Threads of Texas Quilt Show
Beautiful handmade quilts will line the inside of St. Mary’s Catholic Church when the Town ’N Country Quilt Guild hosts the Threads of Texas Quilt Show from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The event will include a variety of vendors, concessions, raffle baskets, door prizes and more. Tickets are $7 or $6 with a canned food item. For more information call Mary Harris at 254-968-4300.
2. Chamberlin’s Fall Carnival
Ready for some carnival fun? Chamberlin Elementary is hosting its Fall Carnival from 5:30-8:30 p.m. today at Stephenville City Park. The whole family can enjoy games, food bounce houses and more. For more information contact Brooke Harris at 817-559-4727.
3. By Gone Days on the Bosque
Come witness history in action at the free annual By Gone Days on the Bosque event from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Stephenville Historical House Museum. The event will feature cowboy gunfights, Civil War demonstrations, art and craft vendors, concessions and even a farm olympics. 4. Sundown on the Square
Enjoy an evening packed with a variety of activities at Sundown on the Square taking place from 5-9 p.m. Saturday in downtown Stephenville. The event will feature children’s activities, live music, wine tasting, art exhibits, rodeo activities and more. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25 and all proceeds benefit the Stephenville Historical House Museum. For more information call 254-965-5313.
5. Fall Festival at Valley Grove
Another evening of family-friendly activities will take place when Valley Grove Baptist Church hosts its Fall Festival from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at The Grove; located behind the Family Life Center. The festival will include hayrides, face painting, games, marshmallow roasting, a dunking booth and much more.
