MIDLOTHIAN — Five employees were injured in an accident Thursday evening at the Midlothian TXI plant. Three victims were airlifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and two were transported by ambulance to area hospitals. Friday morning, company officials reported four remain hospitalized, with one released and recovering at home.
The names of the victims and the extent of their injuries, and details of the accident, have not been released.
The Midlothian Fire Department responded to the call and was assisted by the Mansfield and Cedar Hill fire departments.
"Our thoughts and prayers remain with the employees and their families during this difficult time," company spokesman David Perkins said.
