Meagan Garrett of Flower Mound, Texas, and Nick

Walter of Farmer’s Branch, Texas, were united in marriage at 6:30

p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Lewisville,

Texas, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen G. Hatfield officiating the double

ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Dotty Garrett

of Flower Mound. 

The groom is the son of Lucy and Earl Walter of

Waxahachie and the grandson of the late Milton and Ruby Walter and

the late J.D. and Dorris Guthrie, all of Waco.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bill

Garrett.

Meagan chose an eggshell gown with pearl encrusted

bodice with tucks in front, pickups on the sides and a bustle in

the back. To complete her ensemble, she carried a bouquet of orange

calla lilies, red and orange roses with green and black

accents.

Shari Zarcone of Flower Mound served as the matron of

honor. 

Bridal attendants were Iris Park of Dallas and Maria

Moeller of Dallas.

The flower girl was Lauren Bennett.

Attendants wore knee length, black dresses with black

flower trim around the bottoms of the dresses. They carried

bouquets of orange calla lilies, red and orange roses with green

and black accents.

Jeremy Hargrave of Denton served as the best man.

Groomsmen were Caley Zahn of Greensburg, Pa. and Matt

Zett of Rowlett.

Jared Zarcone of Flower Mound served as the ring

bearer.

Ushers were Bradley Struck and Sal Zarcone.

Lauren Hargrave of Denton was a member of the house

party.

The reception for the couple was held at the Oakmont

Country Club in Corinth.

A rehearsal dinner was held Friday night, Sept. 30,

at Hard Eight BBQ in Coppell.

For their honeymoon the couple took a tour of the

East Coast including New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Vermont

and Maine during the “fall color” season.  

They make their home in Farmer’s Branch.

Meagan is a graduate of Marcus High School in Flower

Mound and is attending Brookhaven College working on an associate

degree in nursing. She is employed at Medical City in Dallas.

Nick is a 2002 graduate of Waxahachie High School and

earned a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering

from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is employed at Schneider

Electric as an electrical engineer – performance assurance team

leader.
