MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — A Meridian company that sells pre-assembled dinners is recalling a variety of menu items because peanut butter may have been used in marinades and sauces.
The recall issued Wednesday by Dinners Ready covers meals prepared from their November and December menus.
Those meals incorporated marinades or sauces made with peanut butter that may have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Officials say the peanut butter made by the same company that was subject to a national recall last week.
The national salmonella outbreak is being blamed for killing at least six people, including one in Idaho, and sickening more than 470 others in 43 states.
Meals targeted in the recall include Asian Marinated Flank Steak, Indonesian Chicken with coconut rice and Chicken Satay & Bankok Peanut Sauce.
The company's distribution is limited to the Treasure Valley.
