Ron Ansell, Woodmen of the World area manager, and Stuart Stephenson, field representative, were on hand at Waxahachie Global High School on Monday to present 24 sets of American and Texas flags to be displayed in each classroom.

“I had a conversation recently with Mrs. Pat Smith, who teaches Spanish here, and she said Global was in need of Flags for each classroom,” Stephenson said. “So I then talked to Mr. (Ken) Lynch, the assistant principal, and he said they needed 24 sets for the school. We are always looking for any nonprofit organization that needs flags.”

Students representing each class came to the school’s commons area to receive the flags.

“On behalf of the faculty and students, I just want to express our appreciation to the Woodmen of the World for donating these flags to each of our classrooms,” campus principal Don Snook said.

Ansell noted that Woodmen of the World is the second largest purchaser of flags, with the U.S. military being the largest.
