Project Graduation is continuing its fundraising efforts with only a few months remaining for this year’s graduation event.
Project Graduation is a parent-led organization to provide a post graduation celebration in a safe alcohol and drug free environment for graduating Waxahachie High School and Waxahachie Global High seniors at the Waxahachie Civic Center.
This year’s all-night event will take place on May 27 following the WHS commencement.
The celebration provides graduates with the opportunity to spend a night of celebration and fellowship with their classmates in a safe, structured environment.
Since its inception, Project Graduation has helped to reduce the number of accidents involving students following graduation in communities throughout the United States.
All funding for the Waxahachie Project Graduation event is raised through fundraising events and donations made by individuals and businesses in the community.
One of Project Graduation fundraising events currently underway is “flocking.”
For a donation, the Project Graduation committee will “flock” the lawn of a residence or business with pink flamingoes.
For more information on how to nominate a candidate for “flocking,” contact Shari Phillips at 972-921-7945.
Project Graduation coupon cards are now on sale for $10. There are 36 vendors listed and are good until 8-31-11.
