Ellis County AgriLife Service will have its next private applicator training on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at its offices in the Ellis County Sub-courthouse in Waxahachie.

The private applicator license allows the license holder to buy and utilize restricted use and state limited use pesticides in his or her agricultural operations.

The schedule for the training includes:

8:15 a.m. arrive and register; cost of training manuals $40

8:30 a.m. begin training

Noon training complete

12:30 p.m. private applicator exam administered by Department of Agriculture personnel

At about 3 p.m., all activities should be complete. The Department of Agriculture requires a photo ID from anyone taking the exam.

RSVP to the extension office if planning to attend; training manuals can be purchased before class. While it is not necessary, it is encouraged to pick up training manuals before class.

The office is open from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
