Make plans for a weekend to relish at Grapevine’s 16th annual New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail April 18-19, presented by Park Place Motorcars, Bedford.
The wine tasting experience begins with the New Vintage Jazz Wine Train. The Jazz Wine Trail will run on two evenings – April 18 and 19 – at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, located at Grapevine’s historic Cotton Belt Depot at 705 S. Main Street.
The grand excursion features several Texas wines, various delectable foods and live jazz ensembles in each passenger car.
The Jazz Wine Train departs both evenings at 7 p.m. and returns at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person.
On Saturday, April 19, start the day at Delaney Vineyards as hundreds of wine enthusiasts gather to take part in the Blessing of the Vines and New Vintage Wines, a centuries-old European ceremony to ensure robust vines and savory grapes.
Following the ceremony is a colorful procession through the largest vineyard in North Texas, comprised of Grapevine dignitaries, the Knights of Columbus, Mariachis, and the general public.
A complimentary wine tasting, complete with engaging presentations by winemakers and live entertainment will follow. The New Vintage Wine Trail begins at noon, offering a memorable journey to experience first-hand the unique winery tasting rooms of Grapevine.
Complimentary shuttle service is available to all of Grapevine’s winery tasting rooms, which include Cross Timbers Winery and Tasting Room, Delaney Vineyards and Winery, La Bodega Winery and Tasting Room, Farina’s Winery, D’Vine Wine and Tasting Room, Homestead Winery and Tasting Room, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino Winery and Tasting Room.
Passports, which include tastings at each winery, are $45 per person. Individual winery tickets are available the day of the event at the winery of your choice.
