Navarro College will host its 2009 Hispanic community events at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, in the Cook Education Center on the Corsicana campus and at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Connect 4 Life Church, located at 1971 John Arden Drive in Waxahachie.
This annual college event will assist in answering questions and concerns about higher education regarding the Hispanic community.
“It is possible for everyone to obtain a degree,” said Donna Parish, Navarro College marketing director. “We want to encourage our Hispanic community to come to the event, ask questions, and let us walk you through the enrollment process. We’ll have bilingual presenters in attendance and booths set up so students and parents can informally browse and collect information about Navarro College.”
“If you are interested in enrolling as a full-time student or just want to take a class or two, this event will get you started,” a spokesman said. “College representatives will be on hand from financial aid, admissions, academics and other departments to discuss procedures on how to enroll and attend college. Numerous bilingual speakers will be available for the event to assist in filling out all the necessary paperwork, et cetera, so interested students will be ready to enroll for fall 2009 classes. Everyone is welcome to attend.”
