Thursday was very eventful! I had measurements and I was extremely happy! Not only have I lost weight, Iíve lost body fat as well.

Every time we go to measure I get so nervous, partly because I donít know what it is going to say Ė and partly because the calipers hurt.

Itís the most terrible thing to be standing there, anxious about your results and have someone pinching at your fat multiple times.

When it was over I was as thrilled as I could be though and ready to hit the treadmill. Itís so funny to me how running has become so simple. I donít always enjoy it, but itís not nearly as hard as I used to think it was.

This past weekend a 5K run was held and, at 6:38 a.m., my personal trainer, Daniel Ortiz, was texting me to tell me that I should run in it. Daniel, whoís based out of the Lordís Gym in Waxahachie, was running in the 5K with one of his other clients.

Iím not sure if it was the fact that I was up so early on a Saturday or that I really just had a realization, but I thought to myself, ďIf I wasnít covering this story as a videographer I really would be able to do a 5K.Ē

That made me so happy Ė up to that point, I had not really looked at the different ways I could apply my training.

Every day itís as if some new aspect about being healthy reveals itself to me. I canít wait to see what other ways I can use these skills.
