LANCASTER – On Monday, May 16, the city of Lancaster will begin using the Police to Citizen online reporting and information website.

Lancaster residents will now be able to make minor reports via Reports that can be made online include minor property crimes such as thefts and vandalism in which there are no suspects or evidence, fraud, harassing phone calls, lost property and vehicle burglary.

This additional resource will make it easier and more convenient for the residents of Lancaster to make police reports while the Lancaster Police Department will still remain responsive to all 911 emergency calls.

Also available to residents is the Leads Online Citizen Property Inventory System. This system allows Lancaster residents to go online and record personal property information by brand, model and serial number. In the event of a robbery, they can access this information and provide it to assist with the investigation.

The P2C website also includes a search function where residents can receive real-time updates on what is happening in their area. Residents can check incidents that have occurred in their neighborhood so they can be more aware and informed. Both beneficial services can be accessed as a link on the P2C website.

“We encourage residents to go on the website and explore these tools. The site will begin taking online reports on May 16, when the reporting system is activated,” a spokesman said.
