There is help for military personnel coming off of active duty or veterans looking for a career change.

A Recruit Military Career Fair will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The event is designed especially for all veterans and military personnel on duty throughout the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.

“Over 400 veterans are expected to attend this special event intended to help troops that have recently returned from active duty, other service members and their spouses find jobs,” said Karen Galvin, director of media marketing for Recruit Military. “Veterans will be able to interview with an all-star team of national, regional and local employers at the fair.”

Galvin said the event is produced in cooperation with the President’s National Hire Veterans Committee (Hire Vets First), the American Legion and the Military Spouse Corporate Career network.

“This event is designed to help raise awareness in Dallas and surrounding area communities about helping the veterans that have served our country find employment with many veteran-friendly companies that will be there on site,” she said. “Veterans drive 100 miles, from all over, to attend this event. Whether a veteran is in the National Guard, Reserves or a veteran that is off of active duty just looking for a career change, all are urged to attend.”
