The Waxahachie Senior Citizens Center is getting ready for its annual garage sale fundraiser. Furniture, household goods, toys and children's clothing are needed to make the sale a success. Tax-deductible donations are now being accepted. Drop off donations at the center, which is located at 219 Patrick St., from 8 a.m.-noon weekdays. Pickup for large items can be arranged for city residents by calling 972-937-8271.
Beginning March 31, Weight Watchers will no longer have its weekly meetings at Ferris Avenue Baptist Church. The new location will be New Life Worship Center, 1320 Brown St. The schedule will remain the same: at 9:30 a.m. Mondays and at 6 p.m. Tuesdays.

Charity Day at Belk
Charity Day occurs twice a year at Belk, located at 1540 N. U.S. Highway 77, Waxahachie. The next Charity Day is from 6-10 a.m. May 3.

Early voting for runoff election
Early voting will run from Monday-Friday, March 31-April 4 for the Democratic and Republican runoff elections. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail (received not postmarked) is April 1.
The runoff election itself is Tuesday, April 8.
Ellis Hill Association of Realtors will award two $1,500 scholarships through its Fred N. Stones Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Scholarships will be awarded to qualified high school seniors who are graduating from schools located in Ellis or Hill counties and are pursuing a business major or real estate-related career.
An application is available at www.EllisHillRealtors.com. The deadline to apply is April 1.
