WHS Theater

The Waxahachie High School will feature the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit and musical comedy, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” at 7 p.m. Friday, May 13, and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, May 14.

The setting for this performance is a small-town middle school with the zany plot centering around six quirky adolescents competing in a spelling bee run by three equally quirky grown-ups. A unique and especially fun aspect of this show is that four real audience members (or victims) are invited on stage to compete in the spelling bee alongside the six young characters.

Admission will be $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. The show is recommended for ages 10 and up.
