Special to the Daily Light

LifeStyles Home and Family Expo is Ellis County’s largest expo offering a unique getaway and fun for the whole family. This year’s event will be held from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Waxahachie Civic Center.

A Taste of Waxahachie is a new attraction in 2008 and will feature an entire area dedicated to serving delicious food samplings from local restaurants. Guests can also take part in a special Texas wine and cheese tasting in the afternoon.

“We’re very excited about having A Taste of Waxahachie as part of LifeStyles this year,” said membership director, Shari Alfaro. “Restaurants will be able to showcase their best dishes to residents across Ellis County making it a win-win for business owners and guests alike.”

In addition to A Taste of Waxahachie, LifeStyles will feature over 130 retail, auto, media and non-profit exhibitors. Guests can shop and explore products and services that are available locally while enjoying free giveaways and special offers.

The Main Stage will feature a myriad of live performances including Elvis, painting demos, gymnastics, healthcare, home buying, cooking demos and kid shows.

Children can enjoy clowns, prize packs, celebrity characters, face paintings, balloon animals, puppet shows and more.
