Gingerbread Classic Golf Tournament

Friday, June 5 – Taking place at the Old Brickyard Golf Course in Ferris, lunch will be served at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Cost is $110 per player. Teams will enjoy a day of golf at the Old Brickyard Golf Course, a delicious lunch, golf cart, green fees, drinks, sleeve of Titleist golf balls, golf cap, goody bag, hole prizes, and networking opportunities galore.

New this year is the RE/MAX Realty Group “Golf Ball Drop.” Golf balls can be purchased for $5 per ball or $10 for 3, which will be dropped from the RE/MAX hot air balloon. The ball that lands in or closest to the target is the winner. Contestants do not have to be present to win.

Gingerbread Trail Tour of Homes Weekend

Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7 – Tour of historic homes, now in its 41st year. Activities include the Mid-Way Regional Airport’s Pancake Breakfast Fly-In, The Arts and Crafts Fair in the Chautauqua Auditorium, Ellis County Art Association’s Plein Air Painting, first “Covering Waxahachie in Color” Quilt Show, live entertainment at Texas Theater, vintage cars on the square and courthouse tours.

Fourth annual North Texas Lakes Rally, “Ray Guns and Scooter Fun”

Friday-Sunday, June 12-14 – Three day event includes scooter shows, competitions, guided tour of Waxahachie, camping, dining and merriment.

Summer Balloon Classic

Friday-Sunday, June 19-21 – The summer classic features 40 magnificent hot air balloons including the famous Energizer Bunny balloon and the United Van Lines specially shaped moving van balloon. This event will also have gliders, airplanes, military aircraft, skydivers, Commemorative Air Force aircraft, powered parachutes and RC aircraft in flight and on display. There will be  exhibits, food, arts and crafts, a children’s area and more.

Friday-Sunday, June 26-28 – Texas Motorplex will host its popular Chevy Spectacular weekend.

Saturday, June 27 – Bike ride includes routes 10, 19, 36, 46, 75 and 100 miles in length.

Texas Theater “Pump Boys and Dinettes”

Weekends in June and July – Throughout June and July, the featured performance at Texas Theater will be “Pump Boys and Dinettes,” a rock n’ roll-country and blues musical revue and smash Broadway hit.
