The Clothes Closet of Trinity United Methodist Church of Ennis is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The organization provides donated merchandise at no charge for those in need. Donations of items are welcome.

A new support group, affiliated with the Alzheimers Association and Ennis Regional Medical Center, is an all-volunteer, no-cost support group where people who love and help those with memory loss issues can find support. Caregiver Support Group, hosted by Ennis Regional Medical Center.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Explorer meeting is held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. The Explorer program is open to youth ages 15-20.

ECECPTA monthly general meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 505 W. Marvin, Waxahachie.

The Ellis County Republican Party will host an open meeting at the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce at 102 YMCA Drive in Waxahachie at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. Congressman Joe Barton is the featured guest.
