The PitPops, a nine-piece oldies rock band from the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, will be featured at a fundraiser for Ellis County Habitat for Humanity on Aug. 15 at the Waxahachie Civic Center. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 8. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door for single tickets. A table of eight can be purchased online-only for $105.

The PitPops consists of a full rhythm section, percussion, brass section and vocalists and plays a wide variety of popular hit songs from the 1960s and the 1970s. Members describe their music as “rock and roll with soul.”
