Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine will hold For Women, For Life from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Hilton Southlake, Statler Ballroom, 1400 Plaza Place, Southlake, TX 76092. This event offers women time to focus on their health.  Attendees will receive free screenings and assessments, as well as a choice to attend a question and answer seminar with Baylor Grapevine physicians. There is no charge for admission, but registration is required.

Infant/Child CPR Class “Family and Friends”

Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine will hold an infant/child CPR class from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m- 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in conference room A&B. This course teaches lifesaving skills for emergency situations and instruction on cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Information on car seat safety and home safety will be discussed as well. Cost is $30 per person.

Sibling Class (ages 6-8)

Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine will hold a sibling class (ages 6-8) from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in conference room A&B. The class will prepare siblings for becoming a big brother or big sister. Children will see a video, receive a coloring book, go on a tour and have “hands on” with our dolls and participate in our stuffed animal workshop. Their cuddly friend will go home with them. We will also serve a light snack during the video time. One adult must remain with the child/children for the duration of the class. Fee is $30 per child for the first child and $25.00 for each additional child in the same family.

For Women, For Life

Baylor Medical Center at Irving will present For Women, For Life from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Irving Medical Office Building II, 2021 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving.

This event offers a healthy way for women of all ages to begin a new year and focus on their health.

Attendees will receive screenings and assessments including blood pressure, bone density, cholesterol, glucose, sleep apnea and lung function, “women’s health” questions answered by physicians, and a continental breakfast.

There is no cost for this event, but attendance is limited and registration is required.

Feb. 2

Prepared Childbirth Class-Refresher

Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine will begin its three-week course of the prepared childbirth-refresher classes each Monday, from 7-9 p.m. beginning Feb. 2 through Feb. 16 in CCE Conference Room. This a three week course for second time parents who have “been there, done that” and want to simply brush up on the basics of childbirth preparation. An overview of the labor process for both vaginal and c-section births is covered, along with management of labor with pain relief and comfort options, and preparation of the children already in the home for the new baby’s arrival. 

A tour is provided.

Hospital Tour of Labor & Delivery

Baylor  University Medical Center at Dallas  will hold a complimentary one–hour tour  from noon-1 p.m. Monday,  Feb. 2 and Feb.16, at Baylor  Dallas. The Family Resource Center is located in the lobby of Hoblitzelle Hospital.

The tour includes the labor and delivery unit and newly renovated New Family Center.
