WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) called on President Obama to move on from his failed policies that have led to high unemployment across the nation.

“The President continues to blame Republicans for failing to pass unemployment insurance, and yet he refuses to take responsibility for his failed big-government policies that have put us in this position. The President has been in office for five years, and the Democrats have controlled the Senate for seven. In that time, President Obama has pushed out-of-control spending and a government takeover of healthcare that will hit American wallets for years to come. It’s time for the President to stop playing the blame-game and step up to the responsibilities of leadership with policies that will actually grow our economy.”
