Hit ‘em for Haiti Golf Tournament
Waxahachie’s Covenant Life Church has organized the Hit ‘em for Haiti Golf Tournament on Oct. 25. All proceeds benefit “Feed a Child Ministries” in Haiti.
The tournament will be at Tangleridge golf club in Grand Prairie. The tournament is a Texas Scramble with a shotgun start at 7 a.m.
Cost is $75 per player and lucnh is provided.

Cherokee Charmer Fall Classic
The Waxahachie Cherokee Charmers will host their Fall Classic Golf Tournament on Oct. 19 at Country View Golf Course in Lancaster.
Cost is $80 per player and that includes golf cart, green fee and lunch. Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. and lunch is served at 11 a.m. The tournament starts at 1 p.m.
There are door prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin shots and hole-in-one holes.

Mike O’Daniel Memorial Tourney
The Waxahachie RBI Club is hosting the Eighth Annual “Classic Country” Mike O’Daniel Memorial Golf Tournament on Oct. 14 at the Waxahachie Country Club Golf Course. Tournament play begins at 1 p.m. and lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Cost is $85 per player and that includes cart, green fee and lunch.

Camp Gladiator Birthday Party workout
Join Camp Gladiator as it celebrates its birthday with a workout at AT&T Stadium in Arlington at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27. The organization will get the chance to work out on the field where the Dallas Cowboys play.
Admission costs $12 online or $15 at the gate, ages five and under get in free. The event includes a a tour of the stadium, free parking and trainers from all around the country.
Cherokee Charmers Fall Dance Clinic
The WHS Cherokee Charmers will be hosting a fall dance clinic for students ages 5-15.
This event will include a fun-filled day with the Cherokee Charmers, stand dances at a varsity football game, spirit lines for the varsity football team to run through, tailgate before the football game and a commemorative t-shirt from camp.

Lady Hawks softball fundraiser
The Red Oak Lady Hawks will be hosting its third annual co-ed fundraiser softball tournament and home run derby. Some of the varsity Lady Hawks will be available to play on teams.
There will be a rules/coaches meeting Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. just before the home run derby, which starts at 7 p.m. The cost for the derby is $10 per player.
The softball tournament begins at 8 a.m. at DeSoto’s Mosley softball park Oct. 26. Cost is $175 per team. For more information, email coach Tatum Thorne at email@example.com.
Maypearl Hall of Fame induction
Maypearl ISD will recognized the inaugural class of inductees into the Maypearl Hall of Fame during the football game Oct. 25.
A dinner for hte families will be held prior ot hte game. Those being honored are Lorene Smith Kirkpatrick, Wilbrun G. Roesler, Bill Walker and Maury Winnie.
The Panthers are inviting all members of the community to come to the game and support these former athletes.
